Steel Silos: History and Features Steel silos have been used for grain storage since the 1930s. Their development can be divided into three stages:

1. Riveted Silos: Made from 6-10mm steel plates riveted together. Extremely strong and durable.

2. Welded Silos: Made from 4-10mm steel plates. Welding improves airtightness and strength and allows higher construction. However, they consume more steel, have higher costs, and poorer corrosion resistance.

3. Thin-Wall Silos: Include prefabricated corrugated silos and screw silos. Introduced in the mid-20th century to meet bulk grain handling needs. Features include lightweight, easy installation, lower cost, high mechanization, automation, and efficiency.

Loading & Shipping maize milling machine.

2. The wood packing is necessary if sent in less than a container.
